Weather in Dreams

Weather in dreams is a symbol of a moods and emotions.

Sun
Sunlight in your dreams is never a negative symbol. Its presence, even in the most disturbing dreams, has reassuring quality. Sunshine usually represents happiness, life-giving energies, growth, and positiveness. Old dream interpretation books say that sun shining on you is an omen of good fortune and good will.

Rain
Rain naturally cleans, refreshes, and "provides life-giving moisture." It could suggest a period of renewal and fertility (reproduction or creativity). Raining can be a release of emotion in a pleasant relaxing manner.

Storm
The storm in your dreams may be a reflection of some difficulty in your life. Storms are anger, violence, and release of emotions in a dramatic way.

Clouds
Your positive energy and idealism could be represented by white clouds and your more negative personal characteristics, and private thoughts, by dark storm clouds. Dark clouds and a heavy downpour indicate feelings of isolation and helplessness.

Snow
Snow symbolizes chilled and unexpressed emotions or emotions which have been repressed for an extended period of time. The snow in your dream suggests that you or someone else is emotionally cold, unresponsive, and indifferent. Clean, white snow may represent innocence, truth, peace and relaxation. Virgin snow, as you may see it covering a beautiful landscape, may represent new beginnings or a new way of seeing things and dirty snow may represent guilt.

Ice
Ice is associated with the emotions and the unconsciousness. Dreaming about ice suggests that you may have some emotions or denied psychological issues that are not readily accessible to you. These feelings may be negative (I.e. fear and anxiety about death or sexual frigidity). This dream may be pointing to feelings or thoughts that are inaccessible to you or to that part of you that is inaccessible to others.

Wind
The wind in your dream could be symbolic of your own spirit or the life force. The wind may represent changes in your life. The greater the force of the wind signifies the grater change. A very gusty wind could represent stress and turmoil but also the energy that you need or have to make changes. The sound of the wind is considered to be special because it is a sound of nature and has spiritual significance.

If the person is known to you, think about your relationship with him or her. If the person is a stranger, in your dream he represent different parts of yourself and are extensions and projections of your own personality. Character in your dream represents unfinished communication with that person and may continue to appear in your dream until the conflict is resolved.

What about seeing a tornado . . . dream after dream until it finally passes?

TORNADO may represent violent emotional storms in your dreams. If you have reoccurring tornado dreams consider the emotional changes in your life and also the amount of anger and rage that you may be currently experiencing. Tornadoes could also represent disruptions and upsets in you immediate environment and specific or current issues that may be overwhelming.

Anonymous, water usually means your flowing feelings or ability to responds. It can represent emotions, desires, moods, depending how the water appears in the dream. If clear and sparkling as it is in your dream it symbolizes faith, fearlessness, purity of feeling, hope and joy, richness of your life energy, flow of feeling responses.
Dreaming about your child often relates to how you feel about her. In a parent's dream daughter could represent the support you get from her; any ties you feel through being her parent.
Basically, your dream is very positive and it is just a manifestation of your joy being a parent.

I had a dream that I had a Daughter but I didn't know about her at all and she had a termnial illness something to do with her blood, I went to see her right away and it was scary, as soon as I saw her I knew she was my Daughter. She was 4 maybe 5 years old, I remember her eyes and facial expression everything. We played for a while, and then I had to leave I didn't want to but I had to.

Crazy thing I had a wife too. I don't remember what her face looked like but I remember how tall she was, how her hair was styled, her nails were, how her hands felt she had dark skin tone, like a tan. I have this feeling if I were to see this woman randomly I would recognize her instantly.

So when we left we got on an elevator and the cables were out so we were falling for like 5 minutes then when it crash we just walked out of the elevator holding hands. Like the experience brought us closer together.

What do these dreams mean?
I am a muslim woman, and I keep having these strange dreams. I dreamt a few months ago that I saw the Prophet (PBUH) standing on a hill holding a staff. THe wind was blowing and he was staring with no expression into it. He had long hair and it was blowing wildly in the wind. That's all that it was, for the whole dream. He was just standing there and the wind was blowing around him. I then had a dream a few nights ago that, in the dream, I had been defending the Quran, Islam, and all muslims for 4 years. Not exactly protecting it, because I know that ALlah protects whom he/she will and does not protect whom he/she will not. But something sort of like fighting for it in a good way where nobody was injured or got hurt. What in the world do these dreams mean? I am convert to Islam, by the way, and converted about 5 years ago. I am also American.

I had this dream once, when I was 12-13.

There is a wide clean paved path. One one side it is winter, treeless and white and clean. On the other autumn, at the edge of a forest, with all the leaves fallen. At the end of the path lies a simple fairly large circular pool with blooming lilies and koi in it, even though the weather is cloudy and quite brisk.
One the winter side walks(or floats, as she leaves no track and makes no sound) a lean and handsome woman. She is wearing a light pale dress and is undisturbed by the cold. On the autumn side is where I walk, but I am not me. I am a stout and strong man. I can hear leaves crunching and am solid. I am dressed in leather and boots and am warm, though not bothered by the cold regardless. There is a third person(i think) but he(?) walks well behind and I never see.
We arrive at the edge of the pool and I become a wolf and she a dove. I can watch this from outside now. I see the koi swimming and the lilies. The grey dove leaps up in flight but is too slow and the wolf catches her and then she is dead. There is a tiny pile of feathers and blood on the clean path. The wind stirs the feathers.
Then I awaken.

Shannon Sultan, your dream has spiritual significance for you since it seems that you are overly devoted to your religion. Your dream is just a reflection of unseen influences in your life. It is the manifestation of ideas or other influences that move you or pressurize you. No other deeper meaning, just pure reflection of your waking life.

Anonymous, your dream is about the acceptance or tensions you feel in relationship. So daughter and wife in your dream could suggest you are having difficult allowing your feelings to mature. Your stranger-wife could be symbolic of your feminine side or your attitude about women in general. Since you are the man, this may be symbolic of your gentle, romantic side but also it could be the manifestation of physical and emotional weakness, martyrdom, passivity, moodiness, temptation, and guilt.

Falling in your dream uncovers some primary fears, current difficulties, and situations in your life that seem to be on a downward spiral, especially those situations that seem outside of your control (financial, romantic, etc.). Superstition based dream interpretations say that if you fall a long distance in your dream and get hurt, be prepared for really hard times ahead; but if you fall and are not injured your upsets will be minor and temporary. The elevator may simply represent the "ups and downs" of life.

Skinfaxi, this is amazing dream, too. The path in dreams usually symbolizes the journey that you take to achieve your goals. It is the path in your life -your direction in life. It could be the path to your heart, spirit, or mind. The path has been used as a religious symbol for thousands of years, and here means the direction in which your personal growth toward wholeness takes you.
Winter represents inactivity, a hard time in life or business, perhaps a period of cold, in the sense of nothing growing in your life, or little feelings.
Dreams often use autumn to represent the second half of your life, or a time of reaping rewards of action. Autumn in dream signify the changes that may be occurring in your life that wipe away the old order of things in a not unpleasant way.
The pool is the inner world of your mind and imagination. It particularly links with looking into yourself and becoming aware of what you are feeling or daydreaming. Sometimes pool appears to show you the stream of your life stretching through time. Lily symbolizes the roots of your consciousness in the deeps of the unconscious and material experience. This unfolds into feeling values, emotions, the psychic realm, and eventually blossoms into intellect, self realization. Fishes symbolizes the ideas, feelings, treasures or sustenance of our inner, unconscious life.
When you see the woman and yourself in dream it means there are conflicting feelings or drives. A man you saw in a dream is an aspect of your own character traits. He could also represent your "shadow" or your negativity and darker sides of personality. To see a dove in a dream, symbolizes peace, tranquility, harmony, and innocence. In particular, to see white doves in your dream, symbolizes loyalty and friendships. It may also represent a message and blessing from the Holy Spirit. To see a wolf in your dream, symbolizes beauty, solitude, mystery, self-confidence and pride. Negatively, the wolf represents hostility and aggression. It may also reflect an uncontrollable force or situation in your life.
To dream of feathers floating in the air, signifies a life of ease, comfort, warmth and of financial gains. It may describe your lightheartedness and enjoyment for life. Alternatively, they may represent confusion, hastiness, and lost of dignity.

Anonymous, in your dream you may be expressing feelings that are difficult to express during the day. KISSING is usually an indication of warmth and affection. If you don't receive enough love and affection in your daily life, then this could be a compensatory dream, where you are comforting yourself. If you are kissing the object of your affection, the dream could be a form of wish fulfillment.

Anonymous, your dream (about FRIEND and EAGLE) signifies the feeling of having thought, felt, or expressed things that do not agree with your real feelings. Dream uncovers things in life that cause you emotional stress, repulse you, and make you feel afraid and anxious. This dream suggests that you are rejecting a thought, idea, feeling, or circumstance and that fast and, almost violent, cleansing is required.

Last night I had a dream that I was talking to my friend's mother who had passed away from breast cancer about 4 months ago. I had not seen her (or my friend) in a very long time but in my dream she had short hair (I knew her with longer hair or a wig). I asked her how she was doing and she answered, " I'm doing much better. I'm sleeping much better." In the dream it felt like she had not died. I woke up confused, knowing that she was actually dead but feeling like I had just spoken to her. What does this mean? Did she visit me for a reason?

Anonymous, at times we dream about deceased friends simply because we miss them. These dreams may be disturbing but most likely are based on memory through which we relive old experiences. Some people believe that in dreams they meet up with the deceased on the inner planes and engage in "real" interactions with them. Occasionally this type of dream could represent contact with those who are dead. Therefore, the interpretation of this dream depends of your personal believes.
