Family in Dreams

Dreams featuring our family members can be reassuring. They may give us confidence and support, or they may concentrate on present long-term problems from which we have little prospect of escape.

To have a Mother in dream usually signifies the love or pains we still feel in connection with her. Mother can represent all we want in a caring and loving relationship, or perhaps all we didn't get. We may dream about our mothers in many different forms. She may be disguised in our dreams, and it is our job to find her in there. The general image of "mother" in a dream may symbolize a variety of feelings and ideas: caring, nurturing, love, acceptance, hard work, sacrifice, etc.

Traditionally, a Father dream can be seen as symbolizing authority and power. In our dream we may be expressing our attitude about strengths and weaknesses as they relate to our position in life and our general attitude toward society.

Siblings are a fantastic source of dream material. Our siblings are important to us emotionally and psychologically. We are bound to them on some level throughout our lives; thus, they will appear in our dreams in many different forms. We learn important lessons about ourselves through our brothers and sisters. They are a reflection on us, and we can not escape their presence and their love, hate or any other emotion. If you have many unresolved issues with your siblings, it is likely that they will frequently appear in your dreams.
